Here’s how much weight our patients lost….

Over the past three years the Baja Surgical Group has assisted over 200 patients through the process of obtaining Gastric Bypass, Sleeve Gastrectomy, Lap Band and gastric revision surgery. Through these years we have had the pleasure of sharing the joy of our patients who have dramatically altered their lives. Their successes achieved have not only included a reduction in weight but many varied “non-scale” victories. We are particularly happy to hear when health issues that were once very worrisome have improved or disappeared altogether.

Before her surgery, Edith Hernandez, who lives in San Diego, California, stood five feet three inches tall and weighed 235 pounds. Her lap band surgery was completed on May 11, 2006 at the Via Angeles Hospital in Tijuana, Mexico. The surgery was performed by Dr. Salvador Valencia. By May of 2007 she had lost 65 pounds and by May of 2008 she had lost an additional 25 pounds for a total weight loss of 90 pounds. Her weight has stabilized at 145 pounds.

Before his surgery, Juan Martinez, who lives in San Diego, California, stood five feet eleven inches tall and weighed 456 pounds. His lap band surgery was completed on May 11, 2006 at the Via Angeles Hospital in Tijuana, Mexico. The surgery was performed by Dr. Salvador Valencia. By May of 2007 he had lost 102 pounds and by May of 2008 he had lost an additional 55 pounds for a total weight loss of 157 pounds. His weight has stabilized near 298 pounds.
